This website was created to share James’s story, express our deepest thanks to our community, and help our family navigate questions during this journey. While we deeply appreciate the care and curiosity of those around us, discussing the details of our loss isn't always possible depending on the time, place, or emotional space. We hope this space answers those natural questions while honoring James’s memory.

A Note on Grief and Community

This site is also an opportunity to share a vital truth about child loss and grief: avoiding the subject with grieving parents and surviving family members often creates more pain.

We want to honor James and all children gone too soon by encouraging an ongoing effort to reach out to the bereaved. With the communication tools available to us today, connecting is simple. If you know someone walking through the heavy fog of grief, please reach out to them. A simple message letting them know they are in your thoughts can mean the world.
